REFRESHMENT AND RENEWAL PRIOR TO
BEGINNING THE SUMMER HOLIDAY
09.00 Arrivals, tea/coffee available
09.30 Welcome, introductions, outline of the day
and opening liturgy (The liturgy would be
reflective in nature using a number of
symbols and be very inclusive).
09.45 Presenting a Picture of Christ to catch the
imagination - celebrating all we do as a
distinctive school, and the contribution of
each individual (a non threatening
opportunity for humour, personal, group
reflection and creative activity).
10.30 Coffee
11.00 Who Do You Say I Am? - The Roots and
Fruits of our school.....
(A clarification of the mission of the school in
light of the 'debate' on Faith school. The
activity would result in a huge 'tree' being
created on the floor - the fruits being all the
strengths of the school; the roots being our
Catholic beliefs)
12.30 Lunch

Nurturing Human Wholeness in our
Distinctive Catholic Tradition: Statements
to Live By. A brief introduction to this highly
practical, now complete resource with Acts
of Worship, circle times, links to SEAL,
CAFOD, Parables, Citizenship, etc, etc (Copy
of CD holding all material, enabling
colleagues to make use of it in the Autumn)
Or
Be still and know that I am God. A time of
structured stillness and silence: for personal
reflection within an experience of prayer
journaling, visual stimulus, concluding with
paired discussion and feedback.

the symbols from the morning session.
